Family portraits are among a mother's favorite keepsake. What parent does not love to show off a great picture of their child? Who doesn't want that perfect family photo for their Christmas card? Getting that perfect photo takes time and patience, and many times when you have children with special needs - such as Autism, it takes a special photographer.
Having a child with Autism and a passion for taking pictures gave me a reason to start a photography business that focuses

on families and children with Autism. My 21-year-old son, Sam, pictured here, was diagnosed with Autism when he was 2. I know first-hand the disappointment of the annual school photograph, the fact that it's impossible to stand in line at the mall to get that fun shot with Santa and the stress of entering a studio to take a family portrait. I am here to change all of that...
...because I also know first-hand the happiness a great photograph can bring.
Before we take any pictures I like to have a conversation to get to know your child(ren). I want to know what their favorite toys are, what songs they like, what characters engage them. I want to know what makes them laugh. What makes them smile. I prefer to take photographs outdoors at a location that is comfortable to the child(ren) – I don’t use studio lighting, no flashes, no backdrops – I just like to keep things as calm and ‘everyday’ as possible.
My goal is to capture the unique spirit of your child. I want to capture their innocence and their laughter and put it down on paper – because kids grow up so quickly – and EVERY family deserves that. Especially families like ours.
